It was an exciting experience to say the least. I met up with several colleagues from NAPO and ICD who had traveled there from all over the country. I was really impressed however at the number of non-professionals who were there to learn. Many, many parents and spouces in addition to educators were there to learn ways to help their family and students succeed. Overall, the atmosphere was very energizing!
While I was there, I was able to attend all or parts of the following sessions:
- Distracted and Disorganized: Sure-Fire Strategies to Empower Women with ADHD with Terry Malten, MSW, ACSW
- Productivity 2.0. Getting Things Done with ADHD Strategies, Apps, & Other Tools with Eric Tivers, LCSW, MSSW
- ADHD and Anxiety: Common, Complex, Comorbid Companions with Oren Mason, MD
- Collaboration: Creating the Best Team to Support Your Adult ADHD Self with Andrea Sharb and Sue West
I do look forward to the opportunity to attend a full conference in the future, and based on what I was able to see and hear, would suggest it for anyone struggling with ADHD, their care providers, and families!
