When do I usually have to wear PPE?
- Dust- This is not your standard level of household dust. Some spaces have not been disturbed for a very long time and when we start moving objects, lots of dust gets unsettled. It is best to wear a mask to protect yourself.
- Mold- If there is evidence of mold, we would prefer that a remediation specialist test the home and find out if the area is safe. If it is safe, I still suggest wearing a mask when working anyplace mold is known, or there are concerns about. It is always better to be safe than sorry!
- Rodents- Many, many homes have had at one time an issue with mice. Especially this time of year, they are looking for a nice warm place to settle in for the winter. When I discover mouse droppings I will wear a mask because their urine is likely dried on everything and when disturbed will get into the air for easy respiration. Not good.
